Reinhart is the forth child born to Mary and Reinhart Schick Sr.. Elizabeth is the only daughter and the youngest child of Philip and Marie Wittig.
Sometime before Reinhart's parents immigrated to Burstall from Lamar, Colorado in 1911, he decided to immigrate to Canada and moved to Regina, Saskatchewan where he was employed in the construction Industry. He helped build the Legislative building and later worked at Maple Creek laying sewer lines and building other larger building including the Commercial Hotel.
In March of 1911, at the same time his parents immigrated to Canada, he decided to homestead three miles west of Burstall. Reinhart and Elizabeth initially lived in a sod house on his parents homestead located in the Schmidt area, east of Burstall. They farmed the homestead until 1942 when they decided to relocate to Medicine Hat. Not liking the "city live", they moved back to Burstall in less then a year. This time they bought a house in town and continued to farm the homestead until 1953 when they retired.
Elizabeth passed away in 1966 and Reinhart live alone until 1977 when he moved into the Wild Rose Lodge for senior citizens, in Medicine Hat where he passed away in 1964.
Reinhart and Elizabeth had three children all born in Burstall between 1917 and 1922.
