Emelia and Gottfried Brunner

Emelia is the first child of Johann and Marie Brunner. Gottfried is the fifth child of Mary and Reinhart Schick. Emelia and Gottfried are first cousins and were married in 1916.

After the marriage Gottfried and Emelia farmed a quarter-section of land at Burstall. At some time they moved to Lamar, Colorado but return back to Burstall. They continued farming until Gottfried's sudden death in 1943.

Emelia sold the land and moved to Medicine Hat. She later married a Moser which no other information is recorded about him. Emelia passed away in 1976 at the age of 60.

Alex and Emma were stricken with severe muscular disorders and handycapped physically at a young age. Emelia sought medical care for them at Winnipeg, Medicine Hat and several points in the USA. In 1950 Alex was taken to Rochester, New York by his mother and other family members and was diagnosed with the incurable illness, Muscular Dystrophy.

Emelia and Gottfried were the parents of six children.

Emelia remarried under the name Moser, given name is unknown.
