Alexander and Martha Schick

Alex is the youngest son of Reinhart and Mary Schick. There is no background information on Martha.

Alex and George Wenz built the King George Hotel in Burstall in 1945. The hotel was sold to Gottfred Schultz and in 1950 Alex returned to farming until his death in 1964.

Martha continued to live in Burstall until her health fail and she moved to Medicine Hat and lived with her son and his family. Her last years were spent in the Haven of Rest. She is buried in Medicine Hat.

Alex and Martha had three children, Shirley their youngest child passed away at the age of nine years.
