Edgar and Elsie Schick

Edgar is the eldest son of Gottfried and Emelia Schick. Elsie is the youngest daughter of Gustav and Ernestina Angerman. They immigrated from Wohlienen, Russia in 1902, lived in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and later moved to Burstall, Saskatchewan where Elsie was born.

Edgar and Elsie bought the homestead of his paternal grandparents after Reinhart's sudden death in 1943. The family lived on the homestead for six years when Edgar purchased the King George Hotel from Gottfred Schultz. After four years Edgar sold the hotel and went back to farming until he retired in 1982.

Elsie and Edgar raised three children in Burstall.
