O'Tillie is the eldest daughter of Johann and Lena Feisel. O'Tillie was born at Winnipeg, Manitoba. Heinrich is the eldest son of Johann and Marie Brunner. Heinrich emigrated with his parents in 1913.
Heinrich and O'Tillie were married when she was fifteen years old. Her dowry was a wagon and a team of horses. Heinrich had homesteaded on the quarter-section adjacent to the Brunner family homestead.
They settled at Burstall until the drought of 1928 when they moved to Three Hill, Alberta. Later they moved on to Rocky Mountain House, Alberta where they continued to farm and finally ended up in the City of Calgary, Alberta in 1937.
The marriage ended in divorce in 1949. Heinrich continued to reside in Calgary and worked as a carpenter until his retirement. Due to disabilities, he lived in a nursing home for the remainder of his life where he would cut the hair of other residents to supplement his income.
Heinrich suffered with diabetes, heart trouble and glaucoma in his later years. He passed away after a massive coronary at the age of Seventy-two. At the time of his death he was survived by all eight of his children, twenty-two grand children, three sisters and two brothers.
After the divorce in 1949, O'Tillie worked as a cook fat the Burns Feed Lot outside Calgary. John Braunberger was a ranch hand there. O'Tillie married John and together they had one daughter. The marriage ended in divorce in 1961 and John passed away in 1976. She continued to reside in Calgary and operated various restaurants in the downtown area, including the C.P.R. lunch counter. In 1967 she moved to Vancouver where she worked as a chef at the Planetarium until her retirement.
John Braunberger was born and raised at Harvey, North Dakota where he homesteaded and married. He had three daughters who reside on the west coast, USA.
O'Tillie suffered from heart trouble and underwent two heart bi-pass operations. She passed away in the recovery room of the St. Paul's Hospital in Vancouver after her second operation.
Heinrich Brunner and John Braunberger are both interned at the Mountain View Cemetery in Calgary. O'Tillie is buried at the Mount View Memorial Gardens in Surrey, B.C. under her maiden name O'Tillie Feisel.
Heinrich and O'Tillie had eight children together and John and O'Tillie had a daughter.
